What does Grade B mean?
Our Grade B Open Box Theradome® EVO LH40 helmets are unused units that have undergone additional testingbefore being offered for sale.
When a customer reports a possible fault, a helmet may be returned without having been used for treatment. As part of our quality-control process, we carry out a complete charge cycle and up to five treatment cycles to thoroughly check the unit’s functionality.
As a result, the treatment counter on some Grade B helmets may show up to five treatments. These are testing cycles, not customer treatments.
The helmets themselves remain unused and are technically new, but because they have been opened and tested, they are offered at a discount of up to £75 off RRP.
The original packaging may also show minor signs of opening, handling or transit.

Every Grade B unit is inspected and tested before sale to ensure it is fully functional.
Each helmet is supplied with the applicable accessories and comes with a 12-month warranty.
Should a fault arise during the warranty period, we will replace the unit with a brand-new Theradome® EVO LH40.

Theradome® Skin Tone Suitability – The Fitzpatrick Scale The Theradome® laser helmet is FDA-cleared for hair loss (androgenetic alopecia) in men and women with Fitzpatrick Skin Types I to IV. Lighter skin tones – though it’s used by darker-skinned individuals who often see good results because their skin absorbs laser light more readily. Its FDA clearance is limited by clinical trial subject numbers for darker skin types (V-VI), anecdotal evidence and the science behind photobiomodulation suggest it works across all skin and hair colours, with darker skin types potentially benefiting more due to better light absorption, according to Theradome’s own statements. Key Points on the Fitzpatrick Scale & Theradome®:
- FDA Clearance: The device is specifically cleared for Fitzpatrick Skin Types I-IV (light to olive skin) for treating pattern baldness.
- Why the Limitation? The clinical studies didn’t have enough participants with darker skin (Types V-VI) for the FDA to approve it for those groups.
- Effectiveness on Darker Skin: Darker skin tones absorb laser light better, so users with these skin types often experience positive results, including the inventor, who has a medium-to-dark complexion.
