Theradome® Skin Tone Suitability - The Fitzpatrick Scale

The Theradome® laser helmet is FDA-cleared for hair loss (androgenetic alopecia) in men and women with Fitzpatrick Skin Types I to IV. Lighter skin tones - though it's used by darker-skinned individuals who often see good results because their skin absorbs laser light more readily. Its FDA clearance is limited by clinical trial subject numbers for darker skin types (V-VI), anecdotal evidence and the science behind photobiomodulation suggest it works across all skin and hair colours, with darker skin types potentially benefiting more due to better light absorption, according to Theradome's own statements.
